Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19

Historical Books Joshua

Chapter 19

1. The second lot came out for Simeon, for the tribe of Simeon, according to its families; its inheritance lay within the inheritance of the tribe of Judah. 2. It had for its inheritance Beer-sheba, Sheba, Moladah, 3. Hazar-shual, Balah, Ezem, 4. Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah, 5. Ziklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hazarsusah, 6. Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen-thirteen towns with their villages; 7. Ain Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan-four towns with their villages; 8. together with all the villages all around these towns as far as Baalath-beer; Ramah of the Negeb. This was the inheritance of the tribe of Simeon according to its families. 9. The inheritance of the tribe of Simeon formed part of the territory of Judah; because the portion of the tribe of Judah was too large for them, the tribe of Simeon obtained an inheritance within their inheritance.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verses 1 to 9)

Oh God my Father when You created the earth You made sure that nobody would be lacking in anything, You provided as much as we all need, however as humans we were not happy with what You gave us and desired more to the extent that we started stealing land and property from each other, that the gap between and the poor was created.

10. The third lot came up for the tribe of Zebulun, according to its families. The boundary of its inheritance reached as far as Sarid; 11. then its boundary goes up westward, and on to Maralah, and touches Dabbesheth, then the wadi that is east of Jokneam; 13. from Sarid it goes in the other direction eastward toward the sunrise to the boundary of Chisloth-tabor; from there it goes to Daberath, then up to Japhia; 33. from there it passes along on the east toward the sunrise to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin, and going to Rimmon it bends toward Neah; 14. then on the north the boundary makes a turn to Hannathon, and it ends at the valley of Iphtah-el; 15 and Kattah, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem-twelve towns with their villages. 16. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Zebulun, according to its families these towns with their villages.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verses 10 to 16)

Oh God my Father much years before You were born as a human, You already refer to the town of Bethlehem, thus giving us proof not that we needed it of the existence of this town marking Your human descent. I thank You oh Father, for being many steps ahead in Your planning because You love me so much that You pave the way before I start walking on it. Amen.

17. The fourth lot came out for Issachar, for the tribe of Issachar, according to its families. 18. Its territory included Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem, 19. Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath, 20. Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez, 21. Remeth, En-gannim, En-haddah, Beth-pazzez; 22. the boundary also touches Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh, and its boundary ends at the Jordan-sixteen towns with their villages. 23. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar, according to its families-the towns with their villages.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verses 17 to 23)

Oh God my Father on reflecting the tribe of Issachar was nicely nestled between two other countries as shown in the following map thus benefitting from the security of both its sister tribes. At times we may also end up benefitting from the presence and skills of others, however, this may be both in our favour and even against us, for this may be a causing us not to grow and develop on many levels even on a spiritual level Amen. I pray for the motivation and strength to do all that You want me to do. I thank You for people such as my good friend Thomas, but I pray that will not end up using him as a crutch of support especially during times of need and stress Amen.

24. The fifth lot came out for the tribe of Asher according to its families, 25. Its boundary included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph, 26. Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal; on the west it touches Carmel and Shihor-Libnath, 27. then it turns eastward, goes to Beth-dagon, and touches Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el northward ti Beth-emek and Neiel; then it continues in the north to Cabul, 28. Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, Kanah as far as Great Sidon; 29. then the boundary turns to Ramah, reaching to the fortified city of Tyre; then the boundary turns to Hosah, and it ends at the sea; Mahalab, Achzib, 30. Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob-twenty-two towns with their villages. 31. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Asher according to its families-these towns with their villages.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verses 24 to 30)

As in the name Asher which means happiness we are also to be positive people like You, my God and Father, for You everything is possible and there is no force of evil that can match or outrun You. May we all share of Your happiness Amen Although the pathway of our lives may lead us across deep valleys and round many bends as in the case of Your people it will also lead to the sea that meant their salvation Amen.

31.  This is the inheritance of the tribe of Asher according to its families-these towns with their villages.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verse 31)

Oh God, many people seek their worldly inheritance which is only valid for our material life, however, our greatest inheritance is that of heaven Amen.

32. The sixth lot came out for the tribe of Naphtali, for the tribe of Naphtali, according to its families. 33. And its boundary ran from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, and Adami-nekeb, and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum; and it ended at the Jordan; 34. then the boundary turns westward to Aznoth-tabor, and goes from there to Hukkok, touching Zebulun at the south, and Asher on the west, and Judah on the east at the Jordan. 35. The fortified towns are Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth, 36. Adamah, Ramah, Hazor, 37. Kedesh, Edrei, En-hazor; 38. Iron, Migdal-el, Horem. 39. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali according to its families-the towns with their villages.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verses 32 to 39)

Oh God my Father we are living so close to each other that the world has become a global village, however even though we are so geographically close, we live far apart from each other due to reasons of economy, politics, and even our beliefs, which many times are abused and used as a means to cause wars, social strife and divisions instead of unity. I pray oh God that we decrease our stock of weapons and invest more on love, faith, unity and solidarity so that the world can be a better place Amen.

40. The seventh lot came out for the tribe of Dan, according to its families. 41. The territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh, 42. Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah, 43. Elon, Timnah, Ekron, 44. Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, 45. Jehud. Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon, 46. Me-jarkon, and Rakkon at the border opposite Joppa. 47. When the territory of the Danites was lost to them, the Danites went up and fought against Leshem, and after capturing it and putting it to the sword, they took possession of it and settled in it, calling Leshem, Dan, after their ancestor Dan. 48. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, according to their families-these towns with their villages.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verses 40 to 48)

Oh God, many times we could settle our disputes around a table instead of going to war and shedding each other's blood. I pray for peace and unity, a peace that the world cannot give as in the following song and prayer that I invite you to join me by clicking on the following link:-

My peace I give on to you

49. When they had finished distributing the several territories of the land as inheritances, the Israelites gave an inheritance among them to Joshua son of Nun.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verse 49)

Oh God my Father on reflecting about Joshua after having distributed all the land as an inheritance may have asked himself, about what was left for him. Although our joy is to be in giving and not in receiving as humans we all would appreciate something in return. Throughout life You have taught me not to expect even a simple thank You, however, I am to appreciate it when You give it to me by means of others or by Yourself Amen.

50. By command of the LORD they gave him the town that he asked for, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim; he rebuilt the town, and settled in it.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verse 50)

Oh God, my Father, I pray that I never settle down in my life, for it may become boring and routine. Even though changes bring a lot of stress, they give me an opportunity to grow on all levels, even the spiritual, for You are dynamic always given me new ideas and aims to strive for. I pray that I may never become stagnant especially in my faith Amen.

51. These are the inheritances that the priest Eleazar and Joshua son of Nun and the heads of the families of the tribes of the Israelites distributed by lot at Shiloh before the LORD, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. So they finished dividing the land.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 19 verse 51)

Oh God, my Father I am happy that Your people chose to settle this important issue in Your presence instead of in the presence of a lawyer in court. You have the answers for all our problems and You are more than happy to help us. I pray that we be humble enough to seek You and Your services instead of those of the world Amen.

Oh God, my Father, I would like to end this nineteenth chapter of the book of Joshua with the following prayer.

Oh God, You are my treasure, with You in my life I am a billionaire, without You I am a pauper or a beggar who looks at all in hope of receiving a donation. My Father like the beggar I live on Your grace and mercy. I thank You for always having provided us with all that we need and even want. I pray for the final inheritance that is our place in heaven when the times comes. This is my biggest inheritance Amen.

JOSHUA

CHAPTER

18

1. Then the whole congregation of the Israelites assembled at Shiloh, and set up the tent of the meeting there. The land subdued before them.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verse 1)

Oh God, my Father how nice it is to offer a celebration of thanksgiving to You my God and Father, especially when considering how much You love, care and cater for our needs. Amen.

2. There remained  among the Israelites seven tribes whose inheritance had not yet been apportioned. 3. So Joshua said to the Israelites, "How long will you be slack about going in and taking possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given you?

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verses 2 to 3)

Oh God my Father, You might have the same question for us. You might ask us, "How long will You delay Your Salvation, why do You not accept me as Your one and only God believe in Me and be saved? Moreover, I have already redeemed You with my blood. I have done my part in full, now it is Your turn!

4. Provide three men from each tribe, and I will send them out that they may begin to go throughout the land, writing a description of it with a view to their inheritances. Then come back to me. 5. They shall divide it into seven portions, Judah continuing in its territory on  the south, and the house of Joseph in their territory on the north.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verses 4 to 5)

Oh God, my Father even though You love us so much that You provide us with the necessary resources, in order to reach our aims, You still require that we carry out our part in the quest or assignment. It is not fair of us to dump our agendas totally on You and wait for all to happen as if by magic Amen.

6. You shall describe the land in seven divisions and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verse 6)

Oh God my Father if we would also make it a good practice to bring a written account of our plans, and agendas before You in a spirit of prayer so that You will help us to discern, which of our plans to pursue, and which not. I thank You for giving me the Bible for before making a decision I open the Bible at random about three times and reflect on the verses that You always inspire me to read and act accordingly. If the verses are positive I act positively if I do not still understand what You mean to tell me I postpone my decision. If I feel my heart beating stronger than my brain I will also postpone the idea for over anxiety is not positive and reliable to act on. It is only when the pathway is clear that I end up acting, and during the interim period I always experiencedYou at work my God and Father.

7. The Levites have no portion among you, for the priesthood of the Lord is their heritage; and Gad and Reuben have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them."

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verse 7)

Oh God my Father when I have You as my inheritance, I am lacking in nothing else, because I have all I need. With You by my side, I am loved and protected. Thank You, my God and Father.

8. So the men started on their way; and Joshua charged those who went to write the description of the land, saying. "Go throughout the land and write a description of it, and come back to me; and I will cast lots for you before the LORD in Shiloh."

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verse 8)

Oh God my Father this morning You taught me a very important lesson in problem-solving. When I find myself facing a problem as in the case of Joshua and his people in the conquest of the promised land. I am, to calm down and ask myself the crucial question, "What is really the problem? What are the issues that are causing the problem to persist? Once I have written in a spirit of prayer all the elements of the problem, with the help of God, I can then start tackling one issue after each other by giving a priority to the issues ranking them from the highest to the lowest in numerical or alphabetical order in order to have a system that shows me from where to start and where to end until all the issues of the problem and the problem itself is resolved. Amen. When all the tasks have been accomplished and even throughout the process, we are to celebrate in faith and thanks-giving for God is already promised to help us resolve the problem Amen.

9. So the men went and traversed the land and set down in a book a description of it by towns in seven divisions; then they came back to Joshua in the camp at Shiloh. 10. and Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD and there Joshua apportioned the land to the Israelites, to each a portion.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verses 9 to 10)

Oh God my Father, may it be that after we have done the ground work or data collection process, may we still be humble enough to place the final decision before You in order to finalise the decision according to Your will and not to mine Amen.

11. The lot of the tribe of Benjamin according to its families came up, and the territory allotted to it fell between the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Joseph. 12. On the north side their boundary began at the Jordan; then the boundary goes up to the slope of Jericho on the north, then up through the hill country westward; and it ends at the wilderness of Beth-aven.

(Historical Books of Joshua Chapter 18 verses 11 to 12)

Oh God my Father, by means of lots the tribe of Benjamin inherited the mentioned land, I pray that according to Your will we all inherit our place in heaven so that together we will dwell in our promised land along with You, Your mother and all the other prophets and Saints Amen.

13. From there the boundary passes along southward in the direction of Luz, to the slope of Luz (that is, Bethel) then the boundary goes down to Ataroth-addar, on the mountain that lies south of Lower Beth-horon.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verse 13)

Oh God my Father in the physical world there are many boundaries and territories that are to be respected in order to ensure stability and peace in the world. However, among ourselves, we may also set boundaries. We may argue that we may have a relationship with a person, but that person has sensitive areas that due to their sensitivity one cannot discuss them. I pray oh God that we do not make boundaries for You as we do with each other Amen.

14. Then the boundary goes in another direction, turning on the western side southward from the mountain that lies to the south, opposite Beth-horon, and it ends at Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), a town belonging to the tribe of Judah.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verse 14)

Oh God even before we were born You had already planned the place we were to be born in along with the boundaries and location of the region where they were to inhabit in a land that was not even yet promised to  them Amen, how great is Your Name my God and Father. In order to view a map of the territory of Benjamin please click on the following link and follow coordinate D1 as displayed on the map of Canaan.

Map of Canaan territory of Benjamin

15. The southern side begins at the outskirts of Kiriath-jearim; and the boundary goes from there to Ephron, to the spring of the Waters of Nephtoah; 16. then the boundary goes down  to the border of the mountain that overlooks the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is at the north end of the valley of Rephaim; and it then goes down the valley of Hinnom, south of the slope of the Jebusites, and downward to En-rogel; 17. then it bends in a northerly direction going on to En-shemesh, and from there goes to Geliloth, which is opposite the ascent of Adummim; then it goes down to the Stone of Bohan, Reuben's son; 18. and passing on to the north of the slope of Beth-arabah it goes down to the Arabah; 19. then the boundary  passes on to the north of the slope of Beth-hoglah; and the boundary ends at the northern bay of the Dead Sea, at the south end of the Jordan; this is the southern  border. 20. The Jordan forms its boundary on the eastern side. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin, according to its families, boundary by boundary all around.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verse to 20)

Oh God my Father, the boundary of benjamin reminds me of the path that I lead in life, There are moments when I am on top of the mountains or on a high ridge, there are other moments when I walk on plain smooth or rough terrain, there are moments when I am going down sleep slopes much to my regret and there are those lonely moments when I am in the valley of death surrounded by the desolation of my sins, however having said this Your river of life-giving water is always nearby inviting me to drink repent and sustain my soul. Amen, Thank You, Jesus.

21. Now the towns of the tribe of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, Beth-hoglah, Emek-keziz, 22. Beth-arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel, 23. Avvim, Parah. Oprah, 24. Chephar-ammoni, Ophni, and Geba-twelve towns with their villages: 25. Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth, 26. Mizpeh, Chepirah, Mozah, 27. Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah, 28. Zela, Haeleph, Jebus (that is Jerusalem). Gibeah and Kiriath-jearim fourteen towns with their villages. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin according to its families.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 18 verses 21 to 28)

Oh God my Father, I would like to end this chapter with the following prayer:-

Oh God my Father many times we pray that You help us in this situation, or to perform that task or to be successful in this or that career, and then when the opportunity arrives, we become afraid and start doubting You even though we see that the possibilities are ideal to what we expected or had in mind. Oh God, You are the Master Planner and have planned all according to what is good for us. You are aware of our needs, our wants and desires and also of our weaknesses, doubts and physical limitations and also of our good intentions. I pray oh God my Father that we learn how to place our trust in You in all situations even though at times we may not understand what is going on and where you might be in the same situation. Help us to completely place our trust in You my, God and Father. Amen

JOSHUA

CHAPTER

17

I would like to share this joke before praying on the following chapter:-

What falls on the water and never gets wet?

A shadow!

1. Then allotment was made to the tribe of Manasseh, for he was the firstborn of Joseph. To Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, were allotted Gilead and Bashan, because he was a warrior.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 17 verse 1)

Oh God, my Father  I pray that I be a warrior instead of a worrier for even though I see wonders taking place throughout life I still tend to lose my focus on You and at that point I start worrying. I pray that all my thoughts feelings and belief always have their roots in You my God and Father Amen.

2. And allotments were made to the rest of the tribe of Manasseh, by their families, Abiezer, Helek, Asriel, Shechem, Hepher, and Shemida; these were the male descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph, by their families.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 17 verse 2)

Oh God my Father You love me so much that You do not want to see me in need, as much as You provided for Your people, You provide for me and my family. Therefore, I need not worry and feel tense for You are with me everywhere I am Amen.

3. Now Zelophehad son of Hepher son of Gilead son of Machir son of Manasseh had no sons, but only daughters; and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. 4. They came before the priest Eleazar and Joshua son of Nun and the leaders, and, said, "The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance along with our male kin." So according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the kinsmen of their father.. 5. Thus there fell to Manasseh ten portions, besides the land of Gilead and Bashan, which is on the other side of the Jordan, 6. because the daughters of Manasseh received an inheritance along with his sons. The land of Gilead was allotted to the rest of the Manassites.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 17 verses 3 to 6)

Oh God, my Father how fair You are! You make no discrimination among Your children regardless of their gender Amen. You treat us all equally with love dignity and respect Amen.

7. The territory of Manasseh reached from Asher to Michmethath, which is east of Shechem; then the boundary goes along southward to the inhabitants of Entappuah. 8. The land of Tappuah belonged to Manasseh, but the town of Tappuah on the boundary of Manasseh belonged to the Ephraimites. 9.Then the boundary went down to the Wadi Kanah. The towns here, to the south of the wadi, among the towns of Manasseh, belong to Ephraim. Then the boundary of Manasseh goes along the north side of the wadi and the ends at the sea. 10. The land to the south is Ephraim's and that to the north is Manasseh's with the sea forming its boundary; on the north Asher is reached, and on the east Issachar.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 17 verses 7 to 10)

Oh God my Father among us humans respecting one's boundaries is very important, for if not many litigations may arise. A typical example is the boundaries set with reference to territorial waters or the boundaries where one can send trawlers.  I thank You, God for making no boundaries between us. The only boundary that can ever exist can only be caused by my sins Amen.

11. Within Issachar and Asher, Manasseh had Bethshean and its villages, Ibleam and its villages, the inhabitants of Dor and its villages, the inhabitants of En-dor and its villages, the inhabitants of Taanach and its villages, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and its villages (the third is Naphath) 12. Yet the Manassites could not take possession of those towns; but the Canaanites continued to live in that land. 13. But when the Israelites grew strong, they put the Canaanites to forced labor, but did not utterly drive them out.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 17 verses 11 to 13)

Oh God my Father You gave us the capacity to live life to the fullest as in the case of Your people, to whom You promised all the land. However for some reason we decide not to live according to the abundance that You planned for us, instead, we choose to live limited lives. I pray oh God that we live according to Your will and live in utter obedience to it. It was Your will that Your people cleansed the lands of the Canaanites, however in some cases, the Israelites chose not to do so.  Amen.

14. The tribe of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, "Why have you given me but one lot and one portion as an inheritance, since we are numerous people, whom all along the LORD has blessed?"

(Historical Books Chapter 17 verse 14)

Oh God my Father, even though we try to be as fair as possible in our relationships, there are still times when we still do not get it right and end up disappointing others even though our intentions may be good. I pray oh God for all those of us, who grumble about how their life has turned out and accuse You of the negative outcome even though they had played a major part in it leading to their own downfall. Amen.

15. And Joshua said to them, "If you are a numerous people, go up to the forest, and clear ground there for yourselves in the land of the Perizzites and the Rephaim, since the hill country of Ephraim is too narrow for you.

(Historical Books Chapter 17 verse 15)

Oh God my Father many times we depend more on others than trying to have a go at solving our issues ourselves, however having said that it is always wise to seek Your wisdom and assistance in order to discern if what we desire is according to Your will Amen.

16. The tribe of Joseph said, "The hill country is not enough for us; yet all the Canaanites who live in the plain have chariots of iron, both those in Beth-shean and its villages and those in the Valley of Jezreel."

(Historical Books Chapter 17 verse 16)

Oh God my Father, the more You give us, the more we complain or find fault. Your people complained in relationship to the Canaanites, thus forgetting that it was by Your power that they had been permitted to enter the Promised Land in the first place and not by their efforts alone Amen.

17. Then Joshua said to the house of Joseph, to Ephraim and Manasseh. "You are indeed a numerous people, and have great power; you shall not have one lot only, 18. but the hill country shall be yours, for though it is a forest, you shall clear it and possess it to its farthest borders; for you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron and though they are strong."

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 17 verses 17 to 18)

Oh God, my Father I thank You for Your divine providence. As a human race, we complain and even make demands on You as much as we praise and worship Your Name. On the other hand, You always in some way or another answer our prayers. At times we try to find our solutions beyond us and even beyond You, however, You make us aware that You have given us all that it takes to fulfil our goals. Moreover, You may make us aware that the needed resources are not that far away and beyond our reach and that with a little help from You combined with our skills in partnership can bring the solution to our issues. Amen.

Oh God my Father I would like to end this chapter with the following prayer:-

Oh God my Father You are the answer to all my prayers. As You told me in this chapter, if I observe intently Your ways and obey Your commandments, my life will be in a state of order, however if not it, will turn into a state of chaos, sin and disorder.  The solution to many issues is foud in me and not beyond or through the power of others. I greatly thank You for this insight and pray for Your support so that I can be able to live a life according to Your will in total observance of Your will and statutes. Amen.

JOSHUA

CHAPTER

16

Before reflecting on this chapter I would like to share this joke with you:

What is the difference between a fisherman and a bad boy at school?

One bates his hooks and the other one hates his books!

1. The allotment of the Josephites went from the Jordan by Jericho, east of the waters of Jericho into the wilderness, going up from Jericho into the hill country to Bethel; 2. then going from Bethel to Luz, it passes along to Ataroth, the territory of the Archites; 3. then it goes down westward to the territory of the Japhletites, as far as the territory of Lower Beth-horon, then to Gezer, and it ends at the sea.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 16 verses 1 to 3)

Oh God my Father the territory of the Josephites resembles the trajectory of our lives, at times we are on the upper plains of life and at other times, we are in the valley of indecision or in the inner caves and ravines of our solitude. My greatest consolation is in You and Your presence Amen.

4. The Josephites -Manasseh and Ephraim-received their inheritance. 5. The territory of the Ephramites by their families was as follows: the boundary of their inheritance on the east was Ataroth-addar as far as Upper Beth-horon, 6. and the boundary goes from there to the sea; on the north is Michmethath; then on the east boundary makes a turn toward Taanath-shiloh, and passes along beyond it on the east to Janoah, 7. then it goes down from Janoah to Ataroth, and to Naarah, and touches Jericho, ending at the Jordan. 8. From Tappuah the boundary goes westward to the Wadi Kanah, and ends at the sea. Such is the inheritance of the tribe of the Ephramites by their families, 9. together with the towns that were set apart for the Ephramites within the inheritance of the Manassites, all those towns with their villages. 10. They did not, however, drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; so the Canaanites have lived within Ephraim to this day but have been made made to do forced labor.

(Historical Books Joshua Chapter 16 verses 4 to 10)

Oh God my Father at times You give us the opportunity to conquer ourselves as in the case of Your people whom You led to conquer the promised land, however their may be areas in our personality that we may have to accept and live with, however for You nothing is impossible and even the most difficult and challenging areas of our lives You can heal us off in Your good time Amen.

I would like to end this chapter with the following prayer:

Oh God, my Father I thank You for being with me throughout all the stages of my life, since the time of my birth to the present day. I also thank You for those situations which I consider as being a success and more for those that  I considered as being failures because they were not according to my agenda.  Amen
